The VILLIGER 1888 Nicaragua range is expanding: from March 2026, the series will also be available in the classic Churchill format (7 x 47) in specialist shops in Germany and Switzerland.
VILLIGER is thus continuing to focus on consistent brand development, which is so important for specialist retailers.

The sixth format in the series is not only the largest format to date, but also an absolute classic. The Churchill format is one of the most iconic vitolas in the world of cigars. A smoking time of at least 90 minutes should be enough for a short trip to the tobacco fields of Nicaragua.

Already on the market in the USA since April 2025, demand has now grown in Germany and Switzerland to introduce this icon.

The centrepiece of the medium-strength blend remains the Ligero filler from Pennsylvania. Not much of it is needed, yet it provides a unique spectrum of flavours.

The cigars are masterfully rolled, banded and packaged in the company's own factory, ‘VILLIGER de Nicaragua’, in the heart of Estelí.
