The mysterious Lake Nicaragua
On 07/24/2023, we will launch this year’s VILLIGER Summer Edition, thereby continuing the relatively short history of this cigar line.
Once a one-off, limited-edition cigar sampler, the VILLIGER Summer Edition has become a permanent annual fixture at retailers in recent years.
Its bright and colorful design deliberately incorporates the country’s iconic landmarks.
The frangipani, the national flower of Nicaragua, adorns not only the packaging of this year’s edition but also features prominently on the cigar band. The color of the box of 3 takes a deep dive into Lake Nicaragua, home to the Concepción volcano.
Every aficionado can look forward to three handmade Nicaraguan long-filler cigars in Robusto format made by the VILLIGER de Nicaragua factory in Estelí. The filler is almost exclusively made with Nicaraguan tobaccos. However, a small part of the blend is a closely guarded secret. While the binder is sourced from Sumatra, the slightly shiny Maduro wrapper was grown in Nicaraguan fields.
Only 2000 boxes of this year’s VILLIGER Summer Edition will be available at German retailers for €24 per box.
