VILLIGER SÖHNE is bringing the VILLIGER 1888 SAN ANDRÉS to Germany. Following its sensational launch in the USA (summer 2026), it is now also available in Germany and Switzerland.
The new range complements the well-known VILLIGER 1888 family and offers the boldest profile to date.

Yellow showcases its origins
These origins also shape the design of this range. The cigar band and box shine in a striking yellow. The colour echoes the houses of SAN ANDRÉS Tuxtla – it appears there on façades, doors and walls. Even the cathedral and the town hall feature this shade. The yellow accompanies every visitor through the streets of this Mexican town.

A new chapter for the VILLIGER 1888 family
Every cigar in the 1888 range follows a clear guiding principle and bears the date of the company’s founding. They are the company’s flagship products and demonstrate this impressively. They embody decades of tobacco expertise, high standards of craftsmanship, and the sense of responsibility characteristic of a family-run business.

As early as 2008, VILLIGER launched its first premium longfiller, which bore the family name and year of foundation. The VILLIGER 1888 from the Dominican Republic, now red in colour, has been produced with a Mexican binder since its inception.

The VILLIGER 1888 Nicaragua (blue) was, until now, the latest addition to the range. The Pennsylvania tobacco filler gives the cigar its aromatic character, which the Cigar Journal’s test smokers rated with an impressive 91 points.

Now the third series is being launched: the VILLIGER 1888 SAN ANDRÉS. It follows the concept of the range and reflects the distinctive characteristics of the country or region through its colour scheme. The dark brown SAN ANDRÉS wrapper (Mexico) stands in striking contrast to the yellow cigar band. Its appearance is defined by its wrapper and creates a richly aromatic overall experience.

To coincide with InterTabac, the Robusto, Toro and Churchill formats will be presented to a global audience of cigar connoisseurs. The cigars will be available on the market in boxes of 20 as well as in handy packs of three.

The entire series is also rolled at the VILLIGER de Nicaragua factory in Estelí.
