This April, the time has come as VILLIGER Brand Ambassador Felix Wallenhorst will invite you to the Germany-wide “VILLIGER Brand Ambassador Tour.”
16 events in 16 weeks, spread throughout the country. The event series will include eight dates from April to May and eight more from July to August. It will focus on our new “VILLIGER de Nicaragua” factory and the premium handmade cigars produced there.
The new VILLIGER factory was inaugurated in January this year, during the Puro Sabor Festival. Corina and Lucien, Heinrich Villiger’s daughter and grandson, were there to cut the ribbon for the opening.
On the first dates, we will smoke the VILLIGER 1888 Nicaragua in two formats and compare their sensory characteristics. The factory's first creation was revealed during the InterTabac 2022 in Dortmund, Germany.
From July to August, we will focus on a cigar that has yet to be revealed, which will also be available in two formats.
We will pair the cigars with an excellent spirit from the Bötzingen distillery “Faude feine Brände.” Florian Faude has a keen eye for essential ingredients and masterfully distills the natural flavors from each. We can tell as much. We won’t serve whiskey or rum.
However, we’re not done yet. “We aim to focus even more on consumers’ tastes, so we’ll be asking them directly how they like our potential future blends,” shares brand ambassador Wallenhorst.
At the end of the event, each guest will receive an “Ambassador Goodybag” containing four cigars. Two of them will be made from a secret blend. We invite aficionados to smoke and evaluate their taste at a later stage, preferably somewhere quiet. This can be done via the QR code on each “Goodybag.” The submitted responses will tell us whether the new blends are successful with consumers.
Hard work must be rewarded. Thus, Villiger will add two exclusive cigars on top. Both VILLIGER Premium Longfillers will be available exclusively in the United States. Aficionados who registered for the tour will get the rare opportunity to sample them. VILLIGER is also eager to hear what consumers will think and will make it possible to evaluate these cigars.
