Last year, the magazine Cigar Aficionado voted the VILLIGER LA FLOR DE YNCLAN, with 93 points, as the tenth best cigars of 2017. After this incredible start in the United States, the brand will be available in Germany as a limited edition, starting with the forthcoming InterTabac 2018 in Dortmund.
The VILLIGER LA FLOR DE YNCLAN is a unique cigar, which was created by Heinrich Villiger in collaboration with the master blender Jose Matias Maragoto of the Dominican Republic ABAM Cigar Factory.
There is a story behind each newly created cigar
22 years ago, Heinrich Villiger met the young and ambitioned Jose Matias Maragoto for the first time. Back then, he was a somewhat unknown cigar-maker and started his new life, in the then still young cigar country, with full drive. He immediately appreciated the young man. In the last two decades, the successful Matias Maragoto became the largest manufacturer of VILLIGER cigars in the Dominican Republic. The VILLIGER LA FLOR DE YNCLAN is the result of a connection between two men with a different origin that share the love for tobacco.
The story of this unique cigar began more than a decade ago. Exquisite filler tobaccos from Nicaragua as well as the Dominican Republic were chosen as the basis of this composition and carefully aged under the best conditions. Over the years, the tobacco developed beautiful aromas of dark chocolate, earth, and ripened fruit. A variety of medium-strong wood and cream flavors contributed to a delicate balance.
Heinrich Villiger said: “The VILLIGER LA FLOR DE YNCLAN is the result of our constant striving for the perfect cigar. We think that there is a difference between a good and a great cigar. Matias Maragoto and I hope that you will also see this difference.”
Today, the VILLIGER LA FLOR DE YNCLAN is precisely the product these two men dreamt of: a cigar which offers a sophisticated taste thanks to the extended aging of the tobacco. With its Indonesian binder and a wonderfully shining velvety wrapper from Ecuador, the VILLIGER LA FLOR DE YNCLAN is a cigar which is worth-while waiting for.
